Instructions for Joining the Math Department Events Mailing List

To join the mailing list, you have two options:

Go directly to the mailing list webpage:

Click on the link http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bmccmathevents/join.

If you already have a yahoo email address or login, you can join automatically by clicking on this link and logging in to your yahoo account. If you don't have a yahoo login, create one and then you will be able to join the group.

During the process of joining the group, you can select the email address that you'd like to use for the group messages (you don't have to use a yahoo email address), and select settings on how you would like to receive messages.

To make sure that the email messages get through, setup your email so that it always accepts messages from addresses which end in @yahoogroups.com. If you are not sure how to do this, contact your email service provider. 

Send an email:

Send a blank email to bmccmathevents-subscribe@yahoogroups.com from the email address to which you want email sent. 

After a few minutes, you should then receive an email from Yahoo Groups asking you to confirm your request to join bmccmathevents. Follow the link contained in this email to go to the group mailing list webpage. Once there, you can create or edit your profile if you like.

If you do not receive this email after an hour, you should check to make sure that it was not sent to your spam folder.  If you want to make sure that these messages can get through, setup your email so that it always accepts messages from addresses which end in @yahoogroups.com.  If you are not sure how to do this, contact your email service provider. 

After joining the email list, you can always look at all the messages that have been sent by going to the group webpage at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bmccmathevents/.
