Math 104

First day of class (steps needed to begin the course):

  1. Login to Brightspace for the first time: Click here for instructions on how to logon!

If you have any technical trouble logging into Brightspace or accessing the course webpage, immediately contact E-Support at 212-220-8126 or at esupport@bmcc.cuny.edu.

Please do not ask me to fix technical problems; unfortunately, I don't have the expertise or systems access- contact E-Support first, and then if the problem is not easily fixed, email me to let me know what problem you are having and what you have done with E-Support so far to try and fix it. Continue to call E-Support until the problem is resolved, and keep updating me about your progress until the problem is fixed.

  2. Sign up for the Class Mailing List: Click here for instructions on how to do this!

This is how you will receive all class emails, so be sure you use an email address which you will check at least 3 times per week.

If you have not used BMCC email before, click here for instructions on how to setup BMCC email.

If you have any technical trouble getting into or setting up your email, immediately contact the Helpdesk at 212-220-8379 or at helpdesk@bmcc.cuny.edu.

  3. Put my email address on your email program's accept list:

If you plan on using an email address which is not a BMCC email address, make sure to put my email address profwladis@gmail.com, and the group email list bmccmath104@yahoogroups.com, on your email program's accept list so that my emails to you are not filtered to your spam folder. To find out how to do this, contact your email provider.

  4. Make sure that you can read all the equations for this class:

In order to be able to see all the math symbols that will be used in some of the online assignments, you may need to download a few programs and make sure that they are set up correctly.

You must complete this step before you go any farther!
Click here to test your computer to see if you need to download anything in order to view equations!

  5. Get a copy of the book:

Click here for a list of a few places where you can find the book!
